As we approach the joyous celebration of Children's Day, a remarkable event is scheduled on campus at People’s University. The 2024 People’s University Finance and Economics Executive Master of Business Administration EMBA Alumni Children Growth Camp will be held in the university’s historic courtyard, the百家廊, under the sponsorship of the EMBA Center for Finance and Economics, alumni office, the Child Club of Finance and Economics EMBA, Beijing Dental Practitioners Association, and a collaboration with 8020 Dental.
The event is designed not only to bring together students from diverse backgrounds but also offer a unique platform where children can connect, learn and grow alongside their parents who share similar aspirations in finance and economics.
We believe in nurturing the minds of tomorrow’s leaders early on. This camp do just that by offering sessions focused on introducing fundamental concepts like money management, financial planning, market basics, and even an interactive workshop around creating and understanding charts and graphs using Excel or other business tools. Children will be taught by experienced professionals who have generously shared their knowledge through engaging activities.
This is more than just an educational experience; it's a chance for children to build relationships with peers who share similar interests and dreams. They'll participate in team-building games, problem-solving challenges related to financial management, and even learn about basic principles of investment from seasoned investors sharing their real-life experiences.
The camp promises to be a space that encourages creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking through various activities designed specifically for children aged around 8-14 years old who have shown an interest in finance or economics. The event will not only foster academic skills but also life skills such as teamwork, communication, and leadership.
In addition to educational sessions, there are also fun-filled activities like a treasure hunt themed on financial adventures, arts crafts workshops where children can create their own investmentusing clay or paper cutouts, and even a special Dentist Day to help them understand the importance of finance in everyday life through dental care analogies.
Parents atting will have exclusive access to discussion sessions med at sharing strategies for supporting their child's interest in finance from home. The m is to encourage parents to continue nurturing this early spark, ensuring that they are equipped with resources and knowledge needed to further explore these exciting subjects as they grow up.
