SMU Libraries: Building Lifelong Connections with Alumni
We are dedicated to fostering a lasting bond between our alumni and the friships they've formed as students at Singapore Management University SMU. Our mission is to mntn these connections by offering various programs, research opportunities, student engagement initiatives, and alumni events.
Our alumni community benefits from a plethora of programs designed to keep them connected with both the university and their peers. These include career development workshops, networking seminars, and mentoring programs that help graduates navigate professional challenges and stay ahead in their careers.
One such inspiring example is Lisa Ti, who completed her Master of Professional Accounting MPA at SMU. She credits the practical knowledge she gned for directly contributing to her success as a co-founder of a start-up. This highlights how our educational programs are tlored to provide real-world skills that are immediately applicable in professional settings.
Thought leadership is another cornerstone of our alumni engagement strategy. Wang Jiwei, an Associate Professor of Accounting Practice at SMU, shares insights on the current quarterly reporting regime's impact on companies' choices. As the Programme Director for both Master of Professional Accounting and Master of Science in Accounting Data and Analytics, he provides a unique perspective that bridges academia with industry needs.
